Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister and a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina then won the Silver Medal in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008 and a gold medal in the year 2011, and the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia launched her professional career at the age of 23 in 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the K-1 World Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final fight took place in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko started the professional phase of her MMA professional career back in the year 2002, with an impressive win against Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious via TKO at the end of round two and her subsequent 2 matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing and made her comeback with Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui in the unanimous verdict. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by a unanimous decision. Following the league's dissolution in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her striking skills that were superior during the clinch final round with knees placed on her body. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was able to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi in an undisputed split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night bonus in the fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the next three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been knocked down by a TKO in round two to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
